March 20 is the first day of spring! Join us in the Spring Has Sprung 5K
Belmont Lake State Park, North Babylon. Two lap trail around lake is a 5K!
1rst wave: Competitive 5K starts at 9:00. You must be able to run a 5K in under 30:00 Minutes to avoid lapping.
2nd Wave: Open 5K starts at 10:00.
Volunteers Needed! You can help us out with registration and still run! Volunteers sign in at registration. You can help out at 1st race and run in second race or vice-versa.

Spring Has Sprung 5K Competitive 5K Run will start at 9:00 AM. It will be a two lap race. The minimum time for this event will be 30:00 to avoid lapping. $25 Non Member. $15 Member includes tee shirt for all pre registered. First come first served on Day of Race. We will try to anticipate enough shirts for everyone. Members will get priority. Awards will be 5 Year age groups.
Spring Has Sprung 5K Open Run/Walk will start at 10:00 If you can't run a 10 minute pace, you must run this race. $20 fee, $15 for Members. Pre Registered Members will receive a tee shirt.
This is a second wave run. Awards will be merged with wave one.

Island Running is continuing our plans to create new races that will have registration fees greatly reduced for our members. We are planning four to eight membership races in 2016!
Membership fee's will help provide the seed money needed to fund these races. Races are being planned throughout Long Island's Nassau and Suffolk Counties. We hope to establish regular group runs at these race sites.
